Order of Merit ® and the Grand Priory of the United States of America for the Most Honorable Order of Christian Knights of the Rose ®

The Grand Priory of the United States of America for the Honorable Order of Knights of Saint Michael the Archangel ® is Not an Agency of the United States Government and is a subsidiary of the Knights of the Rose which is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization.

Annual Cause/Projects

The Order of Saint Michael has supported a number of causes to include scholarships for the Monterey Peninsula College Police Academy, the Monterey Peninsula College Fire Academy through which some of the organization membership has graduated. Additionally, Order of Saint Michael has supported Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts, the construction and maintenance of the Monterey County Law-Enforcement Memorial, the Monterey County H.E.R.E.O.S. project, and projects supporting public safety equipment for the Del Rey Oaks Police Department, the Seaside Police Department, the Monterey County Sheriff’s office, the Salinas Police Department, and the Monterey County Peace Officers Association. Over the past 3 years, the Order of Saint Michael has raised and donated over $80,000 back to Public Safety and Common Defense.

The Order of Saint Michael, along with Monterey County H.E.R.E.O.S., has donated over 1200 tourniquets providing every police officer, patrol deputy sheriff and C.H.P. officer in Monterey county with a vital life saving tool. Since the donation of the tourniquets, several have been used successfully during life saving efforts.

Currently, the Order of Saint Michael is donating trauma bags for Police Supervisor Vehicles and designated trauma response personnel. The Order of Saint Michael has donated trauma bags (including contents) to the King City Police Department, Greenfield Police Department and the Seaside Police Department. The Order of Saint Michael is working on more trauma bag donations as we raise funding.

The Order of Saint Michael holds community safety in high regard and recognizes our most precious asset is our children and their future. As such the Order of Saint Michael has chosen to sponsor a School Safety and Active Shooter Symposium. This has turned out to be one of the largest of its kind in the State of California and the largest attended School Safety Symposium in Northern, Ca. Guest Speakers and subject matter experts come from across the United States to provide a wealth of information and training on prevention, building capacity for resiliency and mitigation of these horrific incidents. Our Symposiums are held every other year in the greater Monterey Peninsula, CA.
