Education and Outreach

It is a part of the mission and vision of the Order of Saint Michael to create safer communities. To assist in facilitating this, the Order has sponsored a number of free classes in the topic areas of 360 Degree Situational Awareness, Safety and Survival, Disarming Dialogue, Behaviors of Concern, Active Shooter, Stop the Bleed and more. To that end the Order of Saint Michael hosts an Active Shooter/Active Killer School and Church Safety Conference in an effort to collaborate efforts from the lessons learned of previous incidents and distill them into usable teaching moments in the prevention and mitigation of these horrific events.

The Order of Saint Michael provides educational support through guest lecturers, who are topic matter experts. Some of the events we have provided education for include the state of California Fire Investigators Conference, the Fire Marshal’s Conference, the California Association of Juvenile Officers and Investigators Conference, the California Association of Correctional Officers (KEYS) Conference, The California Association of Probation Chiefs and the Administrators Conference, the California Code Enforcement Officers Conference, the California School Nurses Conference, the California Association of Hospitality and Security Conference, The California Reserve Police Officers Association Conference and the Northern California Gang Investigators Association Conference. Additionally, members of the Order of Saint Michael have provided safety and survival training to military personnel preparing for deployment overseas.
